@Lore

I like the square one. I'm not sure what the tree respresents, you shoot a lot of landscape?
But both are very slick and clean (which is good)

I appreciate the input. Tho I like landscape, I like trees 'just personally' & tend to stick my clients amongst them. I'm on the fence about it anyway. If you visit a website which looks better? When you visit a website... is it 'necessary' to SEE their name other than IN the URL? :confused:

Inside the website I like the tree better too. It's less boxy :) I also like the logo inside the picture just to be LP without any further distractions.

And it would be good to get a reminder of the name/logo, this is mostly used as the HOME button, just the URL wouldn't stick.

Agreed that the RLP looks too much like RIP. I say spread out the letters a bit more and make RLP look more like a profile of a face.

There's a pretty sentimental meaning behind the name and logo I use.

here's the logo

Thank you! :)

It looks like 99Design worked out great for you.
Did you pay the base price for this?

I worked with a great Graphic designer. She came up with exactly what I wanted without me even being able to describe it properly. You can view her work here; http://www.inspiredbycaithness.com …ed_By_Caithness/Home.html (external link)

Your box with the RLP in it seems too crammed into the space it occupies, trying to overall occuply a rectangular area for the whole logo. Try some other options that aren't so typical. And at the sized your logo would be used, would a viewer even be able to discern what the rlp text even is? it is so close together.

Overall it seems like you're trying to have a company name and a logo all as one calling it a logo. The box with rlp in it can be a logo on its own (not that I'm saying it's a good logo), and your company name: richard lee photography.
