Had a walk around the local cemetery this morning, now I am quite familiar
with this place but I found something I had never seen before in the oldest
section
This area contains graves dating back to the early to mid 1800's, and right
beneath the trunk of a fairly large tree was this

IMAGE: http://www.pbase.com/jabtas/image/139863951.jpg

Well and truly buried
IMAGE: http://www.pbase.com/jabtas/image/139864028.jpg

I don't know whether this was purely by accident or design, but it makes for
something certainly out of the ordinary

Some more from this morning

Good question, The site is here in Guy Texas, here is the back side of the tombstone.
I guess WWI victims were returned home. Just weird how a married couple dies together...

Those names are either Czech or Slovak. Likely immigrants to the USA, and met their fate together in Guy Texas. Is there or was there a Czech or Slovak community nearby?

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

under the flowers there is a grave...Most burial stones do not date beyond 1939, though there was on from 1985! births for adults are usually in the mid to late 1800s, there are about 30-40 graves in total, some have signs of having been exhumed and moved. People still place flowers on some of the graves, but they would likely be grandchildren or great grandchildren. The cemetary is not maintained...
