Looking for some C&C on what I think are my 10 best photos. I am going to submit one photo a month for a local competition so let me know which ones you like the best/least. Overall/general criticism is welcome.

Thanks!

Did you shot the zebra in the zoo or something? Because it looks VERY similar to a picture of a zebra I had on my wall (bought in Ikea or something like that..) - it looks like you just shot the part of that picture.

I shot it at a wildlife refuge... I will try not to be offended that you suggested I ripped it off.

Sorry, I did not mean to offend you :) it's just that the picture looked pretty much the same, only there was the whole head. As for your question, I like #7 the best..do you have any other verison? Like BW, color?

I do have the color version but the lighting was kind of poor so the regular color image is pretty underwhelming.

In the DC mall shot, it's too dark, not completely level, and the cars really ruin it. 50 years later, the time-period cars might look "neat", but not right now!

I like the first 3 and the last one. The others, look a bit soft and the processing is not my cup of tea. I don't like the sepia feel to some of these.

I think the 2nd is the strongest of them.

Good luck!

Lovely images, here is my thought....

1. I like this one quite a lot, but it doesn't seem to be straight, I would crop it so that it doesn't look so slanted, I also don't like the sepia toning, but thats personal preference!
2. I don't know what to make of this one, so I can't comment on it!
3. Its one of the best you have posted here, but that the door frame is cut on the top spoils it for me a little!
4. Your shadows are under exposed and your light areas are over exposed!!
5. The stone in front is a distraction and again your light area is over exposed
6. I feel as though the toning is compensating for the overexposed sky and I think it didn't help much with the dark areas in this shot also!
7. Foreground is totally unnecessary.
8. My favourite of the bunch! I love this one!

I can't get over how sharp number 2 and 3 are. Number 2 has my vote!
