Wedding Invite

We are getting ready to mail out our wedding invites and unlike our save-the-date cards, I'm going to ask for your opinion BEFORE these go to print!

So what do you think?
(Note: the text got a little pixelated when I compressed this for POTN. It wont look so rough in the action photo.)

the font is very grainy and aliased it seems, not 100% sure how to fix it but you should look into it

Contrast seems a little low on the image. More air on his side than hers.

Seems like 50% of people never read the text in someones post. I been noticing this alot lately

Indeed, I have noticed as well, though I'd say well more than 50%


Jonta, what do you mean about "air" ??
I did lower the contrast of the original photo. My intent was to make the text appear as the dominant content in the prints.

Ah yes, that might only be a norwegian term. "Space" then.

Ahh... yes I see what you mean. I suppose the left side does have a lot more of the swirls in the background than the right. I will see if I can fix that.

I like it as is. Nice job.

I love the concept but here are my critics:

- You should make the photo more vivid and calid. It is your wedding, make it vivid and calid. This is a day that well stand for the rest of your life and people should feel the same through the invites. Those bricks will do the job, that color plus the clothes that you both are wearing (neutral colors) will make you guys contrast and stand out in the picture.

- Work on the shadows. Accentuate the blacks.

- Try a different font or make that one to look like it is part of the picture. I understand that w the compression they finished looking like grainy but make them part of the pic as you did with those "vines".

In the end good luck with this new page on your life. God bless your marriage!

I would make it a faded white under the whole part with the words...not just under each sentence.

I also think I would of left the feet in the shot as well and not so much head space.

I really wish I could show the feet! Unfortunately I didn't set up the camera and tripod correctly when I took these photos. This is uncropped.

As for the text, I didn't want a big white box, but I could make the glow larger so that it is more noticeable.

I dont like the font you used - it doesn't really fit the scene of the invite, if you know what I mean I'd pick some more interesting one, and I would also use a different color than black. Then I would make the text more vitreous (something like the ornaments, maybe a little less) and the stroke looks too "bright" to me. So basically what I'm trying to say is that in my opinion the text needs to be somehow softer and lighter

One thing to note, the female's name always go first. So it's the wedding of

Kelsey Norton
and
Kenneth Stuart

Remember that and you will have a much happier marriage
