I have the camera 5D classic, so it won't have the infra-red controller as the 7D.
I would like to use the ETTL, but not sure if the YN-565 work well or not.
The lacking of HSS from the YN-565 does not concern me much.

Does the ETTL mode of the YN-565 work on my 5D classic?

I read this article and doubt about it.

You care to explain what you are talking about DP?

How did that get there? I was on another thread and replied after you made a statement about DOF. Some asked whether to focus on the person in front or behind. I have no idea how this happened. Sorry about that.

I am also thinking about getting a Canon 550EX (used) for extending the off-flash style.
I know that the Canon 550EX is an old flash.
How does it compare to the Yongnuo YN-565 performance?

Thanks,
Jimmy
