Had another go at shooting this locomotive today and my shot was thwarted by another train passing at the wrong moment, so this was the best I could get, I seem to be fated not to get a decent shot of it. Gresley A4 Pacific "Dominion of New Zealand" it's really Bittern 60019 in disguise, was repainted for a commemoration event.

I had an embarrassment of riches like that when I was shooting semis & another one got in the way. My shot sucked, but I still like yours. ;)

To the OP: I know the feeling, but that is still a nice shot. But yeah, Murphy is a dick.

To the second poster; Like the 2nd shot a lot.

Woody60, I like the second shot in Post #4. The modern architecture and the streamlining of the Steam Locomotive blend in my mind, as if Steam never died. The curvature also lends to the melding of ages.
