Why do you say that? Lighting was OK as it was taken at sunrise. I was just very lucky I was at the right place at the right time and fortunate enough to be allowed to shoot it.

Yeah, my camera parameters are set to 0 or neutral. I guess my default LR settings must adjust contrast or brightness automatically.

Here is how to revert Lightroom 3 to Default Settings.
Restore preferences to default settings
Navigate to the following location:
Mac OS [Username]/Library/Preferences/

Windows XP Documents and Settings\[Username]\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\

Windows Vista, Windows 7 Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\

Drag the following file to the Recycle Bin (Windows) or to the Trash (Mac OS):

Mac OS com.adobe.Lightroom3.plist

Windows Lightroom 3 Preferences.agprefs

This will get everything to default including development settings used during import.

Here is the default settings (Sorry if the image is big I wanted you to be able to read them)

Way easier would be to Press Alt and click the "Reset" button (which will now be labeled "Set Default…") and click that, then choose "Restore Adobe Default" ;)

Thanks. Yeah, Adobe's Default does increase blacks, contrast and brightness. As well as a tiny bit of sharpening and color noise reduction.

OK, one of my favorite conversions.

Starting point was a thowaway shot, finishing point won first place in competion, and sold for $600.

Not too shabby.

Just learning the ropes of digital editing, the little I've learned thus far is from Kelby Training and playing around.
