I submitted a photo I took earlier in the summer for a national (Canadian) photo contest a few months ago and recently found out that it has been chosen as one of 40 photos that will be displayed on the Rideau canal skateway in Ottawa during the winter! The photo will be printed on an 8 ft. canvas - I hope I can keep it afterwards :D

They have also used my photo on the website for the news release!!

This photo was taken in northern Quebec, about three hours drive from Montreal.

My original submission was a three shot panorama, but upon being short-listed, I was told that I had to submit a cropped version that fit standard aspect ratios.

Here is the original image:

The Pano is fantastic! Definitely try to get your hands on the canvas after!

More inspiration for me to brave the cold and make one of my own. :)

It used to go coast to coast, but they had to crop it to make it fit
