Hahahahaha gee mate, thanks for the memory!! Great to see it has not changed since I was last out there. That iron fence, the stark sunlight - I bet those dirty little rooms are still round the side! I have spent a few days in them laying on the bed dozing with the A/C rattling away. I was never game to get undressed or take my boots off though - I figured the rooom was always dirtier than me anyway! Crikey, I just remembered the hangovers, errr, some were not too great hahaha One thing, you certainly get to meet some real characters there.

Phil, they are great shots of the city. I particularly like the hidden light glowing on the top of the building.

Give THIS (external link) mob a ring, they have a store in Canterbury and have that lens advertised on their site. I have brought stuff through them and it all comes with local warranty, not grey.

I've dealt with DCW in the past too. Always had a good experience. If walking in, keep in mind that it can be busy in there around lunch time.

Julia, Wayne and the dying priest...

In Canberra an old priest lay dying in the hospital. For years he had faithfully served the people of the nation's capital.
He motioned for his nurse to come near.

"Yes, Father?" said the nurse.

"I would really like to see Prime Minister and the Treasurer before I die", whispered the priest.

"I'll see what I can do, Father", replied the nurse.

The nurse sent the request to Parliament and waited for a response. Soon the word arrived; Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Treasurer
Wayne Swan would be delighted to visit the priest.

As they went to the hospital, Julia commented to Wayne, "I don't know why the old priest wants to see us, but it will certainly will help
our images and might even get me re-elected Prime Minister. After all, I'm IN IT TO WIN IT".

Wayne agreed that it was a good thing.

When they arrived at the priest's room, the priest took Julia's hand in his right hand and Wayne's hand in his left.
There was silence and a look of serenity on the old priest's face. Finally Julia Gillard spoke. "Father, of all the people you could have
chosen, why did you choose us to be with you as you near the end?"

The old priest slowly replied,

"I have always tried to pattern my life after our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."

"Amen", said Julia .

"Amen", said Wayne.

The old priest continued, "Jesus died between two lying thieves; I would like to do the same."

Good one Phil. Here's another one - although I am not too sure we are allowed to post these...............

Guy goes into a bar, there's a robot bartender.
The robot says, "What will you have?"
The guy says, "Schooner of New"
The robot brings back the best beer ever and says to the
man, "What's your IQ?"
The guy says," 168."
The robot then proceeds to talk about physics, space
exploration and medical technology.

The guy leaves, but he is curious...So he goes back into the bar.
The robot bartender says, "What will you have?"
The guy says, "Schooner of New"
Again, the robot pours a great beer and gives it to the man and asks, "What's your IQ?"
The guy says, "100."
The robot then starts to talk about V8 Super cars, MotoGP, Tooheys beers and Supercheap Auto.

The guy leaves, but finds it very interesting, so he thinks he will try it one more time.
He goes back into the bar.
The robot says, "What will you have?"
The guy says, "Schooner of New," and the robot brings him another great beer.
The robot then says, "What's your IQ?"
The guy says, "Uh, about 50."
The robot leans in real close and asks,
"So, you people happy with Gillard as Prime Minister?
