I bet it was not the lens, mine died when I put a CF card in it and gave a weird error for the CF card, I shut it off then it would not turn back on. Motherboard died. No reason for it (age?) and for the miniumum canon requires )$200-ish) she cam back good as new, and they did it in under 5 days of reciving it! I"M HAPPY!

So what did it cost you? Glad it came back ok!

Minit, that really sucks, good luck. You can always use this as a excuse to get a new body while sending this one in for repair! :D then you can rock 2x!

That's gross! What happened?

Hope you get it cleaned up.

I'm really looking into picking up a 5D. Right now it's between this and a 60D. Gosh I love the full frame sensor. This thread never ceases to amaze me.

I think what happened was that it got dirty when i was changing lenses in the field. Usually i turn the body towards me and away from any wind, but in this case, it didn't work out so well. I shoot only up to about f8 or even f10 and never any higher. I'm buying a cleaning swab to clean it up though. Just irritating.

I went from a three month old 60D to this 5D and never really looked back. I enjoy the FF look and the size of the camera. If you need video, live view, and a more modern UI, go for the 60D. If not, hope to see pictures from that 5D if you pick it up ;).

Ugh... every single time anyone posts a photo with a cigarette someone leaves a comment similar to that. Every. Single. Time.
Yes, many people don't like cigarettes for health reasons, but as far as the photo goes, those are completely and utterly irrelevant. In the photo, the cigarette is a visual element, and nothing else.

BryantFC wrote in post #13525100 (external link)
Yeah, but I was just teasing about it. No need to get all wrapped up into it. I actually enjoy the shots that he posts up.

GeeMack wrote in post #13526188 (external link)
I disagree. Everything in the frame is relevant and pertinent to the story being told by the image. The story here is of pretty girl whose life will likely be cut short. You may see something different but that's what I see.

kf095 wrote in post #13526408 (external link)
This photo with young lady and cigarette reminds me old times b/w pictures from soviet era, our mothers were young then in 195x-196х.
Same thing here, buy the way she holds it and she looks - not real smoker.
But some people might think it is smoking propaganda here, which is result of modern western brainwashing, IMO.

Wow, I wasn't expecting all that. Thanks for the comments everyone. Any c&c on the image itself? :p

Bryant, how are you liking VSCO? Are you using in with lightroom? Would you recommend it, and what version do you have?

Here's a selfie from the other day. Lighting info on flickr.

When I first saw this, I though it said f1.6! I was thinking how is it even possible for your sensor to be that dirty.
