I'm hoping that someone from ...Adorama etc will see my dedication, devotion, and love of 1D/1Ds series Canon Digital SLRs, and being that this is the festive time of year, the time for GIVING...they'll be so overwhelmed, and touched by my devout feelings for the 1D/1Ds series bodies, that they'll open their hearts and PRESENT me with a nice Christmas PRESENT.

its not like the mark 4 is a terrible camera...

don't get me wrong, its no 7D.

At This time..the IV is the best canon has on the market. It is an awesome camera. Ive got about 1100 clicks on mine and must say i get an "oh wow" everytime i take a shot at 4000-6400 iso. Its simply an "oh Wow Moment" evertime right now. Have a wedding next week in very low light. Hope im still sayin "wow" withservo.

Everything that this IV is capable of doing makes it a camera to drool over,,so if the 1Dx exceeds the IV,,its suddenly going to turn to a "Holy krap" moment for most people. IV is by far the best camera i have used to date. Cant imagine how much better it could get with a 1Dx:eek:

Well I shot a wedding outdoors with nothing but white xmas lights as available light and a few other lights here and there and my IV really had a hard time focusing. I was quite disappointed. It has never happened to me before. I had to switch to expandable focus points for it to do good.

That's what Ive heard as well. Nickson had a lot of problems with his. Nick is a really good photographer and had me really concerned. In the end, Ive decided to work around it. I'm in one shot most of the time with a flash for the really important stuff like the processional. But Ive got expandable set to all 45 points and AF tracking set to continuous and my shutter set to not drop below 1/30 so I'm hoping that will do the trick. I will find out next week.

I don't recall one shot mode having issues, but rather Ai servo, so you should be ok. Let us know.

One shot is fine. The issue comes into play in servo at about 3200 iso and when your down to about 1/30-1/20. Thats pretty dark. Im hoping with Auto iso and the camera set to 1/30 minimul shutter speed. i will be able to work around it. Shouls let the iso pop up enough to keep it from happening. If it does, ill set up a CF for it and set the minimum at 1/50 and lets auto iso do its thing. Pretty sure i can get around it. otherwise ill use one shot

Aww I'm sorry, that was not my intention whatsoever. I actually meant it in a nice way. I truly do believe that it's the "thought that counts", and your cute little gesture with the camera smiley did that. It really did make me feel good. :D
