Will the 7D or 60D go on sale after Xmas - When is the time to buy?

How did you purchase the extended warranty on the refurb? I purchased a Refurbed 60D from Canon direct on Dec 11th over the phone and asked them specifically about the 90 day warranty and the possibility of an extended warranty. They said that there was not an extended warranty available. The price was too great to pass up and I bought the 60D anyway and cannot wait for it to arrive in the next day or so!

Mack extended warranty for refurbs. Purchased through Adorama. Believe I added 3 years.

I am looking for 7D as well.

Difficult to know IMO. I got my 7D in November of 2010. At that time, Canon was offering some sweet rebates on the body and lenses.

Went with the 60D New

I received a refurbished 7D direct from Canon (looooong story), and it is the most amazing camera I've ever worked with! I won't ever shy away from Canon refurbished products - as long as the price is right (watch out for that pesky sales tax...)!

not that you need anymore advice with the posts above, but I'd definitely recommend canon refurbs. If you're willing to spend a little extra time and effort, the loyalty program will save you even more. You won't be disappointed.

Got my 60D for 692 shipped from an broken $7 ebay canon camera

CLP Refurb 50D for me! Ended up paying right around $460 Body Only after selling off the 28-135 lens.

No regrets.

Just curious why you say that? I am getting ready to buy a 7D and I can wait til March.

Look at the prices on that link. XS, T2i and 50D all received price cuts during March 2011. It's not guaranteed to happen for 7D or 60D but Canon seems to like march.
