I say enough with the super ultra high ISO's...tell people to USE A DAMN FLASH!!!

ISO 12,800 should be HIGH ENOUGH for ANYONE!! Concentrate on keeping low ISO images as noise free, and as CRYSTAL CLEAR as possible!

Build a 1D camera with the features of the 1DX but also includes a 1.4x crop mode.

Photographers do it in 1/1,000th of a second...but the memory lasts forever! ;)

I would like Canon to throw out the trouble prone autofocus system and design one that automatically adjusts itself to compensate for errors in lens and body manufacturing.

The current system is a real pain for those of us who take focusing seriously. It has to be hand-adjusted by Canon technicians to work right. Sometimes they need the body and lens together to make it work the way it should.

I have a lens at Canon Repair right now that has wierd focus problems. Sent it back a second time, since they didn't fix the problem on the first try. (It's a 17-55 f2.8 IS that started out front focusing in the wide end of the zoom range, then after coming back from repair, it back focuses at the tele end of the range.)

Just got a call from them asking me to send in my 7D body so that they can test them both together. This is just the latest in a long line of focus problems I've had with Canon DSLRs since I moved up from consumer zooms and started using large aperture lenses on various bodies.

I forgot one. Teleconverters which have zero perceptible impact on image quality.

Make a little switch/button for closing the viewfinder (like nikon) instead of that fiddly rubber thing on the strap.

More R&D focus on low ISO image quality like including ISO 50 in the standard range

Allow reassignment of the Direct Print button to something useful

Consistently good AF system across the entire line

The phasing out of crop sensor cameras an move the whole line to full frame I am hoping the 1Dx is a sign of this.

I would love a split image / microprism focusing screen as standard and the shutter button to lock both focus and exposure.

Quit being so damn cheap and include hoods with all lenses.

A dedicated AF lamp on DSLRs.

About the only thing that I have never learnt to live with is the lack of a single press mirror lock up button.

The way Canon do it via the Custom Function menu its either engaged for every shot or none which is simply crazy. I don't want to spend 30 minutes reading how to select it or unselect it via some arcane sub menu.

Everything else I can tolerate.

Set it to your Custom Menu. You'll reach it with 1 click. ;)

Nice work people, lots of interesting suggestions here so far.

For me, I will echo a smaller suggestion that has already been mentioned a few times here. HOODS FOR EVERY LENS!

To not include a lens hood on everything but L series glass is just flat out tight, cheap or however you want to word it.

Fix the banding problem. I was at a photographers show last night, and it was apparent he'd used a Canon.

That could have been his printer instead of camera I know If I don't Aline my print heads often they will make lines like banding.

Redo the 1Dx with a higher MP sensor and AF upto F11 like people want, combine 5D and 7D lines, and get rid of 3/4 of the P&S cameras there are to many replace the G series with a small high quality EVIL camera.

^THIS!!!
I'm getting sick & tired of Canons Cat & Mouse game based on "the market". I aint buying sh!t until they put all of their cards on the table .... even the ones up their sleeve.
I know they have to make $$$, but to throw the tech. of what they call "their flagship" out there, and hold out on what we all know they can & will do soon, is just flat out sorry.
