I am looking to buy a good SD Card and I think Lexar is a good quality. What speed and class should I look for?

I just upgraded from a regular speed one to a Sandisk Ultra and I didn't notice any speed difference with the camera writing to the card. I did notice a difference when transferring pictures to the computer. So should I not upgrade to a better card? “Photography calls many, but chooses few”

Say you have a 1GB 20x card and a 1GB 100x card. You would expect the 100x card to download 5x faster (assuming that your computer has the hardware to accommodate it). When you get into 16 or 32 GB cards, that is a substantial amount of time saved in downloading. This is what yo have noticed. I just picked up a 2 pack of 16gb Lexar Platnum II 15MB/S cards (class 6) for $20 from Walmart of all places. More speed than that camera will ever need. Proudly Australian Made!!
