Maybe they had to call and get the go ahead from canon to go that low...... or get canon to ok the reimbursement because that price is below their cost

Freaking awesome, just helps me validate the purchase more. Their regular price says '$1,249'. Really does seem like a new version is coming out, considering this sucker was $1,479 just a few days ago.

Curious to see what Adorama will do now that B&H lowered their price.

Glad you guys said you got the difference credited. Called B&H - first 35 was returned due to focusing errors. In an attempt to keep the price the same (it had adjusted over the weekend), the CS rep sent me a GRAY MARKET lens. Hence, I couldn't get the rebate.

20 mintues on the phone with B&H and the gray is being returned and I have a new USA 35 on the way for $1099.

For BH customers. How can you track the refunded difference?

Yeah, I have to imagine it was only while Amazon had them in stock and was selling at that price.

Wonder if they know about the $229.95 S95 over at Amazon.. also wonder if that means that Amazon received word of new models being released (well, they knew about the S100, but maybe they got the 35L II inventory update as a placeholder in their system and were like 'well, let's get rid of the original ones now'. Purely conjecture, but I wouldn't be shocked, since speculation is that a 35L mk II and 24-70L mk II are due to be announced 1st week Jan 2012.
