I'm waiting until the beginning of January for mine (it heightens the excitement :) and helps with cash flow) but if you can afford it, go for it, I'm sure you deserve a good Christmas Present

The kit is currently $2799 at B&H (external link), but the page says the offer ends 12/24. I would buy it today if you're in the market.

I'd buy it now, I don't believe these prices will last after the holiday buying season is over.

I've had mine for a couple of months now and have seen the price rise since I got mine. If you have the cash you should do it now, just in case the prices continue rising. I got mine with a 24-105 f4 L for £2025 and the price has risen to £2208, and at the same time I ordered a 580EX II flash for £302 and the price is now £379. Altogether a saving of £260 for not waiting, that's about half a lens in my pocket.

EOS 5D MkIII, EOS 70D, EOS 650D, EOS M, Canon 24-70 f2.8L MkII, Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS MkII, Canon 100 f2.8L Macro, Canon 17-40 f4L IS, Canon 24-105 f4L IS, Canon 300 f4L IS, Canon 85 f1.8, Canon 50 f1.4, Canon 40 f2.8 STM, Canon 35 f2, Sigma 150-500 OS, Tamron 18-270 PZD, Tamron 28-300 VC, 580EX II Flash, Nissin Di866 MkII Flash, Sigma EM 140 Macro Flash and other bits.

Amazon and B&H both have the kit for 2,799. B&H also has the body only for $1,999 with a 16GB Pro Sandisk CF - best deal I have seen.

Does anyone really think the price will go up After Christmas? Is that a trend for Canon Cameras? I know I was watching the news the other day and they had a list of worst items to buy during the holiday and cameras were almost #1
