These are really good. Did you do a lot of PP on them to remove noise? They look like they came out of a full frame. Of course, I'm sure the 70-200 2.8 II helped a little in the light dept ;)

Not anything I would post up but you had your fun. Look underexposed and not interesting.

It's hard to tell on a web version but I think the bird is OoF. Which focusing method were you using?

Thanks! As for noise removal, I simply used Lightroom to remove it on some pictures (with a setting no more than 30).

Yesterday (20th Dec) was a pretty good day for me.

Snagged myself a brand spanking new 15-85 IS USM for about 2/3 street price, since it was off-kit from a 7D sold 2 days ago. The full Canon warranty applies. The price difference was almost 20K INR, so it made me a huge saving.

Bought myself a brand new 430EX II.

By the way, if anyone is interested, try out the new Eneloop XX 2500 mAh AA cells. These things fire high speed bursts straight out of the box, and flash recycle time is way down.

I didn't know there were new Eneloops out, I have the original 2000mAh and love them.

Ah, looks like they haven't landed in the US yet. I'll have to keep an eye out for them.

I use them all over my house now, they work great in console controllers and kids toys.

Awesome pictures Daivd. I was at one of their shows a couple of years back. Some people had point and shoot cameras and shooting pictures either knowingly or unknowingly of the no photo policy.

I'm just wondering why do you have to use f8 for all your shots here.... the ISO suffers so much. An F4 to 5.6 is maybe enough for a group shot(correct me if i'm wrong). Except if you're too close to the subject though. just curious....
