Zack Arias is going to retire his one light workshop in its current form. It seems like he's doing longer workshops now ... with 7-Day workshop in Montana and 7-Day workshop in Iceland scheduled for next year.

The Iceland workshop sounds awesome and I really want to go. Obviously, it's really expensive. I'm trying to determine whether it is worth it. The good thing is the price covers hotel stay and food. If I do go, it'll be my extravagent vacation for the year.

Just curious if anyone is going or consider going.

i can think of about 1000 things i'd rather do in iceland than learn about photography. if i lived there i'd be all over it, but man, dont go to iceland to take photo classes when you can do that in the states.

Looks like an awesome workshop.

Buy yeah, $7k is a bit much. And I kind of agree with the above poster too :P

If I were to go, I'll stay for longer than 7 days ... that way I get to learn and get to vacation :)

Now I just have to convince the wifey.

With $7k I would rather go to Bora Bora.

You don't need telling what to shoot in Iceland. Everywhere's a postcard.

$7K could buy a lot of stuff ... there are a few "L" lenses that I want and I could even dip my toes into Elinchrome or Profoto gears ... but it could also buy a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

I haven't been to iceland before, so I'm really dying to go. If I don't go to Iceland, I would probably spend the around the same amount for vacation next year (saving up now).

Zack also has a $2,000 7-Day workshop in Montana, so that's another one that I'm considering.

Pro should go, as it's part of 'professional development' and tax deductible.
