Yea I had no idea, it was under the passenger seat out of plain view. ;(

For the record was your car a rental? Did you know that in Southern Italy car crime is so rampant rental cars are made to look like ordinary cars to lower the security risks.

that's the same for Florida. When the concealed carry bill was passed, the mutants wouldn't dare carjack a Florida resident for fear of getting their miserables a$$es shot, so they took to preying on the tourists in their rentals. Now the rentals look like every other car.

We need concealed carry everywhere ...

Too bad he didn't hide in the car with a giant handgun and then waste their miserable a$$es when they tried to steal his camera! Bang! Bang! Woo-hoo; kill 'em all...

We're I am at (not too far north) people leave their kids in the cars all the time and no one steals them :-)

I've put my camera under the seat, but it's insured. The main lesson is crap happens, have insurance so you don't have to worry if it happens to you

Sorry for your lost. Typical San Francisco, never leave your stuff visble in your car, even it's not visble keep it in the trunk. I always carry my gear whenever I'm in public or in the trunk with deadbolt lock on. I had my radio stolen even at that time the faceplate wasn't visble, they still broke in to find stuff. I even seen people stealing bike parts when people walking by, what can I do, call the police and get jumped afterwards. By the way, what kind of insurance are you guys talking about, I'm curious to get it too.

Have you completed the shoot? That would be bad to not have anything for your client(s) even though your business insurance covers the stolen equipments. Good luck...people here will do our best to look out for you.

I'm so sorry to hear about that....is so sad.

Couple months ago I found this website when I bought my laptop and I think this kind of products would be great for all of us because we work with expensive equipment and is awful when this kind of situation happens.
