For those that purchased this package, does the shoulder bag fit the 5D, lenses, and a flash? What all fits in this bag? And is it sufficiently padded for airplane overhead compartment abuse?

The Bag will fit my 5DII and 24-105, but it's pretty snug. I can also jam my 50mm and my 580 in the bag as well but it's EXTREMELY tight. This does not include additional batteries, memory and other accessories.

The bag is made for a body and single lens attached with either a flash or 2nd lens, but not both.

Does anyone know if there is a timeline as far as how long this deal will last?

+1 on this one. I'm $500 short and won't have it until the 6th of January! Someone told me that they end the sale on that day though..

Correction anyone?

Get the 5D with the kit lens for $2799 at B&H (external link). It's a great lens for $800.

@Tareq - I do both video and stills. If you can only get 1 good lens for both media, I would suggest the 50 f/1.4 or 50 f/1.2 for good low-light ability and common focal length. Although you can spend much more money on the 1.2, many have done wonderful work with the 1.4 non-L lens on both cropped and full frame bodies.

Why you answering me? I have 50 1.4 and i will use it for most low light if i have 5DII or video HDSLR camera.
