Their site does not reflect what's mentioned in that FB photo album.

As I understand it, you can only get those prices by following the links...

Yeah, it finally dawned on me to click within the images.

Seems Adorama also has the deal on Sigma lenses for those who use Mr. Rebates:

Us old farts know how to buy things without the old lady finding out. ;)

1) Get bank account online in your name only and go paperless

2) Get debit card for the above account or

3) Get a credit card and go paperless

Wifey will never know the difference! When she asks about that new lens you traded something you never use.

I figure that if I had the money to buy something I wouldn't have to hide it from the wife. I'd also rather get scolded for overspending than for outright deception, but that's just me. I've only been married for 10 years, so maybe I have much to learn. :)

You have joint funds and separate funds. I'm not putting money made on the side into the joint account where the extra money would be noticed immediately and turned into shoes and/or handbags. Doesn't sound like you're quite at that stage yet.

If it was only that easy - Wife manages security at the bank. She sees me when I am sleeping and knows when I'm awake. She knows when I have been bad or good so if I even think of buying something she probably has an e-mail alert. She has all my credit info and would flag anything. Best to be honest (most of the time!!)

Good news is that Mrs Clause approved the purchase (though I just sold another hobby item for 5 times the amount so I do have a credit with her!!).
24-70mm f2.8 and 70-200mm f2.8 on the way!!

I was borderline on wife approval until I found this post. She wanted me to keep it under $1000, and the offer on FB was for the 150-500 for $999.

That leaves me $0.99 left in the budget.... I wonder what else I can get?

Not me, I got suckered in the 70-200 and 5D2 package deal at Adorama. The bill that shows up next month will be terrifying.
