Managed to wrangle a MP-e 65mm and twin light recently and was testing it out with a fly yesterday. Here are the results ... using strips of paper towel curved around the light for diffusers. I still have a lot of testing to do, but was happy with these given the learning curve and hobbled together diffuser solution.

I was happy with the details in the fly. I didn't note the exact magnification, but it was between 2x and 3x for these shots. These are the complete frames (i.e. no cropping).

.... comments and advice welcomed

Thanks Brian & Troy. Plenty to learn - but I know I am going to enjoy the journey!

Thanks Kurt - first timer with the MP-e 65 and twin lights, but I have been shooting macro for a few years now with the non L 100mm and a 580EXII + softbox. It is a change in some of the technique though.
