I sold my 5DC to upgrade to a 5DII next month. Considering that i'll have the cash coming in for the 5DII next month, i'd decided to use the money i got from the 5Dc to possibly pick an X100 up. It's a bit insane on how much this thing is selling for used though and i'm guessing it's because of the backorder issue :/. I really want one..

This is in stock at BH right now, I picked one up yesterday and I'll have it in my hands on the 23rd.

So my x100 came today...I haven't actually shot anything worthwhile with it yet but it did do a little modeling because it's just so damn sexy. ;)

I'll post some photos actually taken with the camera soon!

Brilliant cameras! I have even used them at a few events, less conspicious than a ds3 with 24-70 and 580ex on it...

Just got mine today and all I have to say is WOW!!!! What a great camera.

I was apprehensive since there's a few people reported AF shortcomings. I just used this camera at a party and I did have a few soft pictures, very few. This is not a 7D or a 1D4, people need to realize this.

The IQ is superb, on par if not better than the 7D.

The lens is sharp WO.

The flash is amazing at balancing the ambient light.

This camera is a lot of fun to shoot with. P&S style, SLR style, or combo.....whatever you like. I'm still trying to figure out which I like, but I've got options depending on what I'm shooting.

Is it worth the $$$$? I can see myself taking a lot more photos since it's easier to carry than my 7D. It is leaps and bounds better than any P&S I've ever owned in terms of IQ. Which comes down to me taking a lot more photos with great IQ. YES IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Is it going to replace my DSLR, no way.

I love this camera and I've only had it for 2 hours.

So I finally got the chance to spend some real time with my newly acquired x100. My fiancée and I went for a little stroll around town tonight and I gotta say that I am VERY impressed so far.

Great to hear another happy user!

Also if you havnt done so already I strongly suggest you try JPEG over RAW for a few shots. I shoot Raw normally but for some unknown reason I inadvertently changed the IQ settings to JPEG the other day and shot off 50 shots as JPEGS without knowing. When I saw the colors in lightroom that the fuji algorithim set for the JPEG conversion I couldnt believe my eyes. It reminded me so much of fuji's film colors I could have sworn that I had just shot film instead of digital. It is amazing how they have got the colors to look so close to their film. I have gone from never ever shooting JPG's to almost 50% of all shots now on the x100... I would never do this before even on my 5dMk2 !! I wonder what will be next from this film manufacturer:)

Happy x100 shooting

no?

More details plz.

Sorry for the late reply. There have been numerous reports on the X100 Forum about the aperture blades "sticking" wide open and not closing to the correct aperture, causing overexposure.

See this poll thread:
