^^^ how are you liking the 35mm ???

I purchased it specifically for Rebel. It is smaller compare to kit lens and twice less heavy compare to 30 1.4.
Much better in terms of FoV compare to Nifty-Fifty on 500D. Seems to be sharp enough at F2, colors and contrast are OK. The only thing which is weird is how it is focusing sometimes.

I was making similar shot today at the same place as last night and it was refusing to focus at the plants pot.
It was hunting for focus forever, I have to switch to manual.

It is sharp and better to focus on my 5Dc.

maybe it was just the sun behind the pot making it fish for focus .... yeah the 5d's are fast to focus !!!

It is not first time, another night it was not focusing as well properly. I just feel the difference compare to over lenses I have. Even Nifty-Fifty would AF better in difficult situations. I just have to point it at the edge of the object or on contrast area.
My 5Dc focusing well, and my 500D focusing good with L zooms and kit lens.
But 50 1.8 and 35f2 are better on 5Dc.

I hope it is as good on my 5Dc as it is on my Rebel.

From experience: it's much better! ;)

I just got a 9-stop nd filter. Haven't got to have much fun with it yet though.

Playing with some new extension tubes on my Tammy 28-75; cheap fun IMO w/o buying a dedicated macro (though maybe in years to come I'll break down and buy one)...

It is with 35F2, BTW.
