Sorry folks, this is about as rudimentary as it gets!

Texas light box... Luckily it is Christmas time or this box would be in the attic! Had to use the cam to take the pic...

Nice shot, and I see you're a Homebrewer. Nice Home Brew Rig. I'm a fellow texan that also homebrews

Thanks brother! Yes, that is the original Brutus Ten sitting in the background. I am out of homebrew! (As you can see by the case of Lone Star in the fermenter fridge)

This photography thing has really been cutting into my brewing time!

Moonshiners make liquor, homebrewers, brew beer.

Well, I hoped to have something to post in here tonight but I got a lot more EXPERIENCE than results in my current efforts for a Mike Kelley style architectural shoot: https://photography-on-the.net …p?p=13617657#post13617657 ... my thread does have setup and result, just not the result I want, sigh.

yep us homebrewers make beer not moonshine. Huge difference and it's legal

Sorry about that, i had to think about it. So here's the corrected message.

Most of the photos are cool but my favourites are:

#1(from seattle1)

#2(from katodog)

Thanks Robinson Crusoe! I love the shared setups in this thread.

Another home brewer here envying that nice system! Also, Thacher Park isn't that far from me. I've heard of it but never been there. Now I have to make a trip down!

Been lurking around here for a long time so I guess it's time to make a contribution.
After an interesting post by Mr. Hobby on the Strobist blog I've been playing around with screened backlighting (?).

Also, Thacher Park isn't that far from me.

When I lived in NY it was only about a 10min drive from my house. I'm a big runner, so I spent a lot of time on the trails there and found a lot of nice places. It's a great place, some good hiking trails too.

If you ever end up going I can give you the directions to that overlook, it's about a 1.5 mile walk through trails from a tiny parking lot. I like it because it isn't as crowded as the primary overlook which has a huge parking lot, concession stand, etc.

Not a great or detailed setup shot, but I thought it was a cool candid my father happened to snap of me when taking a couple of macros....
