Earlier today, I participated, in the Ft. Myers Offshore, New Years Eve run.
"FMO is a not-for-profit coporation, dedicated to raising funds for academic
scholarships in SW Florida to help worthy individual graduating from high school,
continue their education at institutions of higher learning including college and
university as approved by the board of Directors". Additional information
regarding FMO can be found at "http://ftmyersoffshore.com/". For various
reasons, I left my boat home, and rode along with my friend Jim. For us it was a
round trip of 175 miles, by water.

We had bright blue skies, lots of sunshine, and very calm seas.

I will post the remaining 100 or so shots at the docks, and highlight a few,
in another thread, in a day or so.

Good series. More shots of them on plane would be nice?

So hard to shoot from a fast moving boat. I was in a freinds 30 Skater (same boat as own). Great fun, ans very fast, but not a very goos shooting platform.

The pictures I took after the event in Marco, look even better.

I hope to have them up latter today

It's not like you have to pay for film? ;)

Now I know what I have doing wrong.
Trying to jam that roll of 35mm film into my 7D. LOL

it's after we reached our final destination, shots came great (IMO)

They did. But anyone could take them? You have a opportunity for some great boat-to-boat action shots.

but not a very goos shooting platform.

Not every shot has to be needle sharp, & sometimes the ones that aren't all sharp are the most interesting|?
"Nightmare Cruise" with a happy ending.

Good points.
Next time I am a passanger, I will keep this in mind, and see what 'develops'

Here are the best running shots I got this time out. I am not pleased with them, but perhaps they are unique enough to post

The first two, are just getting going.
The last one, is in the 50s-60s, just before we got up to speed
