Nonsense. Look at the 1Dx, merging the two 1D lines. They could easily do the same to the 7d and 5D lines.

I've already posted evidence from a Canon Inc executive that Canon had been planning to merge the 1-series since 2004.

The 1-series merger was floated years ago--it should come as no real surprise.

I got tired of waiting and debating with myself on whether to wait or upgrade to the 5DII. Picked up the 5DII yesterday and have something tangible to use NOW.

Same here, but budget wont allow me to do so:(
Waiting for the further price drop in MKII body. Hope to get it close by Jan end.

The 5D2 is still a great camera. While I had through most of this year regarded the 1D4 as my first choice body, I have latterly come to appreciate the IQ of the 5D2 more and more.

Shouldn't be hard, one has been announced and is close to be for sale. The other is a rumor.

I'd take a 5Dii over the NEX 7. Not even close.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.
