I don't like the 60d to well, i had it but had to get rid of it and the d7000 appeals to me a little better (but it if sucks so bad i can always send it back and pick up a 7d)

Focusing system takes some getting use to.

I'm sure that won't only be true for the focusing I'm sure the entire system will take some getting use to but the d7000 offers a lot that the canon 60 d didn't imo.

The 60D(body only )is out of stock or backordered at most major retailers but there is still an option to order(amazon, JR,adorama). If I order now and the order gets processed after Jan 7th will I still get $100 canon instant rebate?

Adorama says it's back-ordered too:

This item is currently back ordered from the Mfr. We have no estimated time of arrival for this item
Please note: You can order this now and have us ship it as soon as it arrives.
We will not charge your card for any backordered items, until it is ready to actually ship.

For the rebate it says Nov. 6-Jan 7th, so I think you will still get the rebate. Whatever price you purchase it at right now anyways is a lock in special deal; at least every major retailer will acknowledge that.

Bought a new bag today, nothing spectacular, but it's about half the size of my normal bag and still holds most of the gear in it. :) My normal bag is a Kata 3in1-33 and the new one is a Tamrac Zuma 4. Nice little inconspicuous bag if anyone is in the market.

Have you look at the Canon Loyalty Program? You could save 20% on your 60d.

Can you take pictures of it with all your stuff inside? I've been trying to find a bag to replace my Flipside 400 since I've downsized since I started my buying mayhem awhile back. <_< ;;

xD
