Been out of the loop for a while. Still have the default canon eos neckstrap on my 7D. Wouldn't mind something else! :)

I remember when I was looking there was the Crumpler Industry Disgrace and an Optech that I had my eyes on. Then I was looking at the luma loop but see they recently stopped due to patent issues.

So where do things stand now? Which straps do you guys like? And new winners or ones I've missed?

The Optech Super Classic strap with the quick disconnect Uni-loop ends. These ends leave a very short tail on your camera lugs which don't get in the way if you remove the strap when shooting on a tripod. You can get one from any major camera shop or Amazon, for that matter.

I've got many different straps. The POTN straps always end up back on my cameras. They are comfy and the quick release is so dependable, I never worry about dropping the camera and when I get tangled up in 2-3 cameras at a time, the quick release works great. I sometimes have one color longer than the other and switch camera straps. So easy to use.

I hate camera straps that slip off of my shoulder...what do people recommend? Unfortunately I have to wear all-weather coats, often with teflon coating.

I have used Domke Postal Pads to help. Are there other pads I can add to camera straps?

A gentleman has posted links to Wapiti straps here; unfortunately they change the hide used on straps that are exported. I'm still working on trying one of these.

Thanks in advance,
DaveL

You can have mine. I never even took it out of the plastic. I refuse to use them unless absolutely necessary. I use a b-grip.

I have the Industry disgrace and also a POTN one - I find the crumpler to be much nicer in use and will get a second one soon.

Black Rapid RS-7 is on my wish list. Sun Sniper also is a great one with shock absorber and integrated steel cable... keeps thieves from cutting it off.
