Adobe Systems (ADBE), maker of Photoshop and Acrobat software, announced earnings that beat expectations, largely as a result of strong performance in its digital media and digital marketing business.

Its always nice to see a company exceed expectations in this current environment that we find ourselves in.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

That's nice to hear. It's a shame that in light of their good news, there is some bad with another: http://online.wsj.com …41495542810.html?mod=e2tw (external link)

Sad that a company with such a rich history of shaping the photographic industry is all but bankrupt and the customer-unfriendly likes of Adobe is raking in billions.

I agree but its also sad to see that a company like Kodak is in trouble mainly because they didn't want to adjust for the times, they were far to late coming to the digital game (never in it really from my point of view) and trying to stick to old things.

Precisely. Back in my P&S days I was more than willing to give Kodak a chance, especially since I really liked the physical shape and overall ruggedness of their cameras; but output was totally inadequate compared to other makers.

Why is this posted in the Market Watch forum? Are they having a sale on their products?
