Hi all!

I'm happy to say that I've got my first cover shot and cover story: snowflake photography. Published in the latest issue (winter 2012) of Outdoor Photography Canada:

To get the real story, read the article in the magazine... its about 2000 words and covers pretty much everything. The quick description is that all of the shots are hand-held focus stacks photographed on a black mitten. :)

We have very little here right now too - +6C weather makes it all disappear pretty quickly. Here's hoping for a snowy January!

I'm not sure if they have wide distribution in the US, but you can subscribe from anywhere in the world and I don't think the cost is very high for it. Always a good read (yes - my opinion is biased!)
