This shoot was mainly done with a green screen and a couple of outfits with a vaguely fairy / fantasy theme so I could comp together some images. After we had a play with some cloths, peacock feathers and rose petals. All Canon 5D MkII with Sigma 24-70mm f2.8, a mixture of Elinchrom and Bowens strobes. What do you think? C&C most welcome.

The 1st & the 2nd ROCK!! Very pro, as seen in magazines. Nice frames and lovely edit.
3rd is bit too dark for my taste on the angles and the edges... 4 & 5, don't even show them...after seeing the 1 & 2, 4 & 5 look "bad"!! 4 would be OK if I had seen it without 1st seeing the 1 & 2. 5, I don't like the angle and that chopped arm is no plus at all... Just my honest opinion, nothing personal...
Thank you for sharing!!
cheers & keep on the good work.
:)

Thanks for commenting. Food for thought. I'll post some of the greenscreen images when processed.

I like 5. The chopped arm is a small thing imo, that is overridden by the comp, PP an overall feel of the photo. Maybe it's because I shoot PJ and have long gone by the rule that one doesn't need to show all of an object for the viewer to get it. :D 1&2 may be better executed, but my eyes passed right over them. Nothing grabbed me.

My 2 quid. :D

I'm also a fan of number 5. I think limbs being chopped is only an issue if it jumps out and grabs you but the composition of this image seems perfect as is.

It is so interesting how different people see and pay attention to different things and details. What is good for me might be very bad for you and vice-versa.

i like all but the last 2, #4 her arms and hands look bad (maybe because I'm a dance teacher that just sticks out to me like sore thumb) and i don't like the edit on #5 but i like all the rest :D

Many thanks for all your input - appreciated. Here's a few more from this session.

I might also just add that I have now attained my "LSWPP" qualification for my portrait work (Licentiate of The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) - well chuffed.
