I finally got a chance to see if the camera shop owner's method of removing dust/hair from the viewfinder works. I figured it would. And, it did. Vacuum cleaner, for the win.

i wanna hear more about this. can you explain us how to do it? i have this two dust spots inside the view finder that drive me nuts

I used a small wet/dry vac. I took attachments off and made sure there was no dust or debris on the nozzle of the hose. I went into my guest bathroom (most dust-free room, in my place).

Took the lens off and kept the body upright (as if taking a photo) and set it down. I turned the vacuum on and took one edge of the nozzle and touched it to the lens mount on the body and slowly went around in a circle using the mount as the guide. I kept the nozzle (the opposite edge, not touching the mount) at an angle of about 30 degrees outward away from the center of the body.

I went all the way around just to get any flying dust out. Really, I could have just concentrated on the top portion of the mount, as that is where the viewfinder thingies are. One pass and I checked viewfinder. Hair was gone. Quickly sucked out the other end of the lens then put back on body.

I find that the auto cleaner works pretty well. But, I don't get lots of dust on mine.

Betcha there's more on there than you think. I always change my lenses inside and quick, but I just found out I have a ton (like 3-4 spots) in there that are driving me nuts. I didn't think it was dirty at all just from looking in there, but the pic told another story. I had to look really hard while twisting the camera into various positions to get direct sunlight to shine right at the spot where the dust was, and sure enough it was there. Try taking a pic at the blue sky with no clouds and your fstop at 22 and see if any black spots show up. I couldn't see it at all until I got out a magnifying glass and got the sun to hit it.

Not what I was expecting at all, but I think I like it.
Taken yesterday with my 60D, no post-processing at all, just scaled down.

^^^ yup, Im not even a fan of grips. Took advantage of the price.

Me neither. But you cant beat that price. I eventually passed as it looked kind of big and I would have a hard time fitting it in my bags.

I'd like some C&C on this please. I have never photographed sunsets before but I was in my room yesterday and looked out the window to find a sky full of purple, blue, red, and orange and I couldn't let that pass without a photo.

However with a lot of trees around and only a 70-200 f/4 I couldn't get the whole sky so I came up with this. Not sure how I feel about it, what do you guys think?
