My wife told me last night "if you need it, you should buy it". i wouldn't sell anything, but a good friend (he has a 1DmkIV and posts here) suggested I sell a couple of inches of my member to help fund it.

$6800 isnt that much. Its the lenses to do it justice thatll really add up. Although I do spend a lot of money on my hobbies/passions.

As a thought, due to the lower resolution of the 1Dx at 18MP on FF.. Lenses will not be pushed as much, resolution wise as many other bodies. The 5D2, 7D and many others will show much more lens resolution flaws then the 1Dx. With this body having such large pixels, lenses will out-resolve this body... Especially the newer lenses.

:D

Probably want to sell my 400 2.8 L to get this body. But then my post count is too low to even post an ad. :\

What would you sell to fund the new 1DX ? ;)

Nothing. Sports Illustrated hasn't hired me yet, and never will.

I stink too much to qualify for owning that camera. Someone should beat me up if they ever see me with one.

Heck, it's worth more than my car.

Thank you. bw!

As much as I want the 1DX, I'm not sure if I'm willing to pay $6800 for it. I would have to sell almost all my photography equipments just to buy the camera. This camera is on my radar for now and will buy it in 10 years - used.
