When it comes to cards, Sandisk is the only card I'll buy if I'm using it for video.

Twiggy,

I've followed this issue for over two and a half years.

PNY has not kept up with what Canon Class DSLR's need in the way of media performance. I've seen fewest media failure and problem reports with SanDisk and Hoodman RAW. Right now B&H has some pretty good prices on some of their cards.

I just got two more of these to go with my T3i kit:

$29.95 gets you a 16GB card that will work for you. B&H is a reputable dealer that sets the "Gold Standard" for integrity in dealing with customers. Avoid ebay like the plague when shopping for media, counterfeits abound and SanDisk is the most counterfeited brand on the market.

Here's a promo video I did for our local gun club. Used a T2i for all but 2 sequences, "kit" lens, and SanDisk media.
