Some great cards in this thread. I too like keeping some white space so people can scribble stuff on them. My first card is targeting my event/wedding/portrait clients and the other is for commercial/architectural clients.

try to steer clear of the arial type fonts. this looks like the default microsoft typeface.

I like that. Is that raised lettering? Who printed the cards?

Why have a photo of a lens on your card? Do you specialize in taking photos of lenses? I don't think a construction company has a graphic of a backhoe on their card so why should a photographer has a graphic of his/her tools on a card?

One thing I do with my cards is, I laminate them. They look sharper and they won't get dog-eared right away and look tattered and eventually get tossed. I've actually had a couple people ask me if they could keep them, when I handed them a card.

I am only able to see the business cards from Dayhawk, RockSlut and MTalley.
The others are just a red X.
Any solution?

Very nice design - would look fantastic letterpress foil printed onto extra thick uncoated card.

Foil stamped in orange and silver foil. The CTP is a UV gloss coating. Tasteofink.com printed them and I couldnt be happier with the results.

This was for an assignment. I'm not sure if I want to print it for actual use or not.

^I'm not really sure about what that thing is that goes across the card? It's a little too distracting and confusing for me...

I don't know if it's because it's on a computer screen, but that blue text on red background hurts my eyes, bad.

FYI - You're missing an "O" in "Photography"

Thank you for the kind words! I am extremely pleased with my logo and the design of the card. I did decided to print on a black background vs the gradient. But I only did a short run to see how they will turn out before ordering more.

It's a water stream turned 90. You're the first to say that but I guess you either love it or hate it. :-) I do design so I thought it would be a good element.

I don't know if it's because it's on a computer screen, but that blue text on red background hurts my eyes, bad.

Agreed and I made another version with it larger with a small black stroke but when printed it's still a bit hard to see.

Holy crap! Nobody noticed that yet, thanks.

Here is another version with correct spelling and blue color change. For some reason the luminescence on the red is much higher than what I see on screen before saving for web. It also prints as I see it before saving for web too.

I'm not sure I like the type style for Photography & Design. I'm not sure it goes with the more professional feel of the font I used for my name.
