I came across a box of old photos I took back in the early-mid 90's. Found a bunch from the old Ottawa International Airshow. Thought I'd scan 'em, share 'em and welcome anyone else to do the same if they have scans of old pics :)

I think I took these with my dad's old Olympus

The only cammo'd C5 I've ever seen

thanks, it's fun finding old pics. Funny to look at the in flight stuff because some of it is barely recognizable. The camera didn't exactly have long range lol

I've got prints, negs and a few slides from the mid-80s shot at places like Sussex, NJ, MacGuire AFB and Reading, PA but they all pretty much suck and I don't have the time or interest to scan 'em.

Got quite a few from the AE1-P film days, that include local airshows and a couple of Oshkosh trips from the early 80's, but like Jay, the quality and time to scan them just doesn't justify the end results (imho).
I just might dig em out and try a couple tho. ;)

HA! I was there for that. I think I was 10 years old at the time! Abby during the years of 1988-1992 left a HUGE impression on my young mind.

somewhere at the folks house (about 1200miles away) is a shoebox full of early 70's Oshkosh.
first time i saw the F-15 doing a fly-by, and the concorde on a low (50 ft) pass and pulling straight up.
a 747 also skimming the ground at near sonic speeds... those were the days, thanks dad!
pictures of Voyager before and after it's around the world unrefueled trip.
memories are flooding back now... we were at war then, and it was a giant recuiting center.
Chuck Yeager, Bob Hoover etc, listened to them all talk. magic times my friends.

I'd love to see photos what you consider to 'suck' lol. I'm sure most would enjoy them, myself included.

I guess the point of this thread was to relive a little old time air-joy. For me, these photos were taken when I was a teenager getting a rare chance to sit in awe of some aircraft I had only read about before that day. I was really happy to find the box of photos and while alot of them weren't good quality photos, they were still fun to look at :)

I have photos of the Van Nuys airshow, some where around 1965-1968.
I used a Kodak Instamatic back then. ;)

Have not viewed them in many years. Most likely they suck, too.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

I have a few from the mid 50s, they aren't very good as I was 14 at the time using a very cheap 50s point&shoot.

Here are a couple from 1984-ish. Enroute from Moody AFB, Georgia to Ft. Bliss, Texas to fly against the Patriot SAM system (it won) during its development. Taken from the Boomer's office with a Canon A-1.

Thanks! Next time I scan some slides in I'll take more care to clean them.
