D700, 24-70, SB900. I could shoot an entire wedding with that - but I prefer to use wide, long, and prime lenses as well, along with off camera flash.

It's in impossible question to answer. I have three different camera bodies and all of them are used constantly. During winter weddings when it's cold, dark, and we're inside, I use a ton of lighting. For outdoor weddings during the summer, I might not use any flash at all.

So I guess my short answer is CF cards, batteries, and the bag itself.

Not kidding. Some weddings I need the 16-35 a lot, some not at all. Some I never use the 16-35 and use the 70-200 heaps.

Part of being a pro is being adaptable, having the knowledge to do whatever is required.

I agree with Robert but if I had to narrow down everything I carry to just three items, I could shoot an entire wedding with one 5D II, a 28-75 and 580EX. I would not want to but I could.

5D2, 24-70, 580EX on a Custom Bracket, so that's 4, but that's what I use most.

I usually shoot with my 5DII, 24-105, and recently discovered manual flash and now cannot stand my 580 so the YN-560 is on there mostly. Although, I think my most used items are my CF cards and batteries. :)
