Heh, nobody went? I chuckled at the Meetup group outing for this event.

I can imagine that the wintery weather is a challenge for that "event":)!

Cool, I've seen some other Seattleites post snow pics, but here none has stuck yet. It's been off-and-on all day but the temp is still too high above freezing...cold, though!

I just discovered this thread (thanks to Tonylong :) ) and here is my first contribution. My wife and I took these a couple of nights ago:

IMAGE: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/50714805/potn/lightroom-8388.jpg

Up until now I haven't been brave enough to try 12,800 ISO, but I think this next one came out OK so I might use it more:

Things are much colder up here north of Seattle. Our high today was 25f and we have not been over 30 for several days. Actually, that's a good thing: No freezing rain!

Great shots Drew. I especially like the "Family" shot!

Yes it is. Of course, the fisheye tends to exaggerate the effect. It is really easy to get carried away with the 15mm fisheye and I have to be careful and have some restraint :) .

Hi folks

New to POTN and only a recent serious photographer. My wife's still way better than I am at framing and composing a shot, but I am having fun playing around with exposures and other techniques, so hopefully you'll see more on these forums.

Surprise surprise: The weather has resulted in a lot of good picture ops

When the snow began falling last Sunday, I pulled out the camera and took a bunch of pictures

IMAGE: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7158/6704858549_aaa189e5e4_b.jpg

(full set at: http://www.flickr.com …i/sets/72157628888144217/ (external link))

There is this one lamp on our street that was looking lovely at night so I tried by first ever nighttime HDR

IMAGE: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7171/6718314433_5b520b3cf2_b.jpg

(full set: http://www.flickr.com …ci/sets/72157628933104835 (external link))

Then it started to fall really heavily

(full set: http://www.flickr.com …i/sets/72157628933006625/ (external link))

There's more, but no power at home, so haven't had time to get them into Aperture
