My camera and lens got covered with snow for this shot, but it was worth it.

Well the sun has gone awol and no idea when it will be back.

But the cold and wind chill did make an appearance on a day that looked good otherwise.

Taken in -16c with a breeze running making it like a -30c. Could only take 10 minutes of that before beating a hasty retreat.

Nice, I love this one.

Tele and all... I friend if of mine grandson plays HS lacrosse in NJ and she showed me an 8x10 of her grandson that was printed at the game. To make a long story short she paid $40 for the print and she said there was a line about 20 people deep buying prints. So it seem like there's money in it. It's not my cup of tea but I have fun shooting my nephew/nieces soccer games.

As always amazing stuff in this thread. Countless hours have been spent in here catching up lol. I haven't posted in a looong time. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to go out and shoot much either. But thought I'd throw up a couple that I have taken lately.

A little snow fell in Mount Juliet Tennessee today... The sky was bone grey and cloudy, so there isn't too much color here.

Does the software process RAW?

No, you wouldnt want to anyway as it would take too long, you just want to take the photos, copy to computer and get them on the viewing stations quickly, i just gave the card to my assistant after each race and they then just copied the photos into the right folder.

Bone greys are usually good candidates for b&w...

Yeah, I guess you just get really good at taking the shot right, with good settings, then take a hit on quality w/out the RAW processing in exchange for hungry customers and instant gratification :D

Geez besides a couple shots of the moon my camera has been sleeping since 2012 started...

Anyway how many of you have used the AF assist beam on your T2i for focusing in super low light? I haven't tried it yet, but just curious if anyone thinks it's helpful.

For the people that don't know what I'm talking about you use your popup flash for the AF assist light. Set your C.FN-7 to 0 and disable flash from firing unless you want to use the pop flash... Also you can only shoot in One Shot or AI Focus (won't work in AI Servo).

Thanks T2i, Troy. Not much going on, was expecting a snow storm hoping to catch snow shots like you guys but that fizzled into a damp uninviting day so played around in PS. :)

Unusual bird shot Troy - I like it.
