On a totally unrelated note, and believe it or not, completely back on-topic .......

Rob has just about convinced me that the best way to light a white background is with this .....

Right now I have two "eBay special" 600Ws Bowens-compatible strobes and two RX600's.

Could it be a good idea to use the two eBay specials to light the background, with the above reflectors, with this adapter.......

Dennis (or any one that speaks german ) what is this thread about?

I think the title says it all
translation = "simply just beautiful women"

where beautiful is discussible and it can be a variable adjective LOLOLOL
you can easily put "simply just bitchable women" or "simply just wowzer women" LOLOL

I think i remember someone getting TT to replace certain bags after they failed due to wear.

I think it is normal, if it is wear and tear. Nothing will last forever. If it failed due to manufacturing error then it is bad.

Do yourself a favour and check out the Lumia with WP7, you might like it ;)

+1 for translation. I also wonder how Pi found that link (e.g. what he googled for).

Planned obsolescence mate.....planned obsolescence.
It's what makes capitalism going on. I truly believe and actually it is not that hard to believe that something like that goes on in our economic world.

Just type it on google and make a good read

there's also a video doc, pretty astonishing since they show you the secret plans of early '900
etc etc

PS: I'm not an anti-capitalist, and it's easy to confirm that by what and how many stuff I buy LOOOOL...
it's just that I like this stuff, to understand better our world, anybody can make his opinion, today information is accessible, maybe sometimes manipulated but you can find true in some dark sides of the "room" and make yourself your opinion.

I know, but thats how life is. The newer models are faster and better and so people upgrade to newer version when they can, not when the old one is broken. :)

Thanks,

Austen.

I have no idea how the light would work out with the addition of those adapters, the point was to a very wide and even spread of light, an adapter would induce a funnel, but the deflector might take care of it... ?

I meant it has in TT stood behind their bags even if it wasn't a defect or anything, just a very hard working photographer who pushed his bags to extremes. Some stuff do carry a lifetime warranty, i like those. Not sure exactly what TT's policy is, just remember reading about it.

Does anybody experience with a smaller octa in combination with a deflector.
How is this similar or not similar to a beauty dish effect?

Congrats, Stefan! Which lights are you powering with your Mini? And which fabric did you get? zebra/white?

For now a BXRi. For the Sunbounce: silver/white. Don´t like the zebra fabric. Reminds me of the golden deflector which Robert/Sheldon once called "pissy" iirc. ;)

Cheers, Zwicko

Flip it...

The arm comes with its own "C" thats what you connect the two of them with, then you slide one of the solid ends on a SC, the other in your strobe.

Ah, I see! You Da Man. Muchos Gracia

I just got my second one of these to try as a pair. So far so good, it's a matter of finding or making the small silver deflector he used/uses. Even with using the white opaque Elinchrom deflectors that come with the Rotolux it works better than anything I have.

Case, or anybody that wants to school me,

For making a semi short articulating arm by putting a couple of 6" Manfrotto arms together, what can I use at the end for the light mount? The Hex head is to large for any adapter or drop pin attachment I have.

Thanks
