These guys are so adorable. I had the chance to see one at the National Zoo in Washington DC a couple years ago, but he was being shy. Where was this taken?

Some great photos, whenever I have tried to take photos of Red Pandas they always climb a tree.

Thanks for the kind comments and looking everyone.

There is a couple at this particular zoo that show well. Kristin, I know what you mean very often they just hide up the tree. On the first shot he was hiding up the tree but happened to climb to the edge to inspect the arriving rain storm it seemed.

These were at the Marwell zoo in the uk, so a bit of a treck for those on the otherside of the pond.

I saw some of these at a panda sanctuary in China a few years back. Had no idea there was such a critter. Much different than the giant pandas we are more familiar with.
