I agree! How early can you get in for breakfast? We usually get in an hour early b/c we stay in the resorts, but even then, there's a pretty heft crowd.

You want to book them prior to the early opening to avoid the real crowds, but many of the restaurants allow you in an hour or two early. Just check the schedules for that parks opening when you make your reservations.

I'm leaving a week from tomorrow. I'm going to leave the big gear bag at home and just bring the 17-55 and 50 1.8 along with my filters. Tripod will go in the suitcase in its bag as well. Last time I went down I brought the 50 and a 10-20. I have zero intention of bringing the camera to any of the parks during the day except for Epcot, and I might just through the 50 on it for both weight savings....and the challenge to myself to see what I can do with just that.

I brought the same small camera bag to all the parks 2 years ago when we were down, and it was a giant pain in the ass IMO. The late afternoons early evenings will be my time to go out and shoot alone. The SX230 I just bought my fiancee will have to do otherwise

I took a bunch, deleted a bunch and now have a lot left from my family's first trip to Disney World. Took 10-22, 17-55, and 70-200 mkII (Animal Kingdom). Had a great time. The first is my favorite shot. I included some more, as well. I did some work on them, but I am new to PS. First three shot raw with my Canon 60D. Last one with an old Panasonic P&S.

The trick to getting shots without the crowds is to make breakfast reservations before the park opens. That way you can get in there without the huge crowds.

As stated, http://disneyworld.dis​ney.go.com/reservation​s/dining/ has the reservations, but you need to know the park opening hours prior to making your reservations and that includes any early opening hours on that specific day.
