After reading through this entire 427 pages of thread. Finally was able to create a rig of my own, thanks to James giving me the idea of using flag poles.

I am using an aluminum 2" Flag Pole Kit: 60$-65$ shipped from amazon and just put a pin screw to hold them together since they are already made to sleeve. I am waiting for my ND variable filters to arrive so I can do some test shots later.

2 f1000 avenger suction cup

Snip!!

Nice job, looks good! Forget the ND just wait for the right light to test it, those vari NDs are good at killing resolution anyway.

Been a while since I've used my rig. Put it together with a friend a few years back and he's had it since. Just finished editing my first rig shot in a while. C and C welcome. Definitely have more to put up.

I'm using the avenger cups and manfrotto clamps. I currently have a 15' piece of metal ducting/pipe...but it's quite bouncy, I'm definitely looking into something more solid!

The flag pole idea is nice, as it breaks into two smaller sections. So I wouldn't need to have pipe sticking out my back window of my little bmw e30! Plus the cable tension-ers probably stiffen that baby right up.

Does anyone know if filling the poles with expandable foam would help them stiffen up a little?
