He was on another thread taking claim of another one of vmlopes' photos. The only thing I haven't seen yet is vmlopes defending himself in these threads which probably points to guilt.

The person claiming these photos are his has over 700+ similar photos on his Flickr page. And if you read some of the comments the people he hangs out with appear to think they are his images as well.

How can vmlopes defend himself when he is banned from being online here?

I wish he could defend himself, I would love to hear his side of the story.

Wow... I'd definitely like to hear this shake out as a mistake or something. I just can't believe it.

This has got to be a case of mistaken identity, right?

Todd,

If my memory serves me right, don't you know Vick personally, and have gone on shoots with him? Does he go by Photoportee on Flickr?

That does look like the type of work he has shown here on POTN....

No, I've interacted with him on numerous occasions, but never met him personally. He's in England, I'm in Texas.

There is another here named Matt Peters, who I think has shot with him though. (he's gone with the moniker VMLopes grasshopper) and he's posted in this very thread.

It appears Vic's Flickr account has been removed, and searching through other forums, all of his stuff is gone.

Man, this is a damn shame.

Photoportee from Flickr was on here a couple nights ago making his claim to vmlopes post called "Take my Hand" (one of my favorite photos). Victors Flickr account was vmlopes ... so the 2 accounts are not the same person.

The guy making the accusations came here and left. His nickname here is loko_pitt. The guys real name is Lucas.

Yeah you! ;-)a

I reached out to Vic last night through email, but haven't heard back from him.

I'd like to make sure that Vic gets a fair trial here, I mean he's a longstanding, respected member and he deserves that much.

We don't know all of the details and there may have been an arrangement for him to use those images for further processing, etc.. we don't know.

What a cool scene! Nature is definitely reclaiming THAT house!

Have you considered using "levels" to bump up the blacks a bit? I think that would improve it immensely.

If I could remember where this place is (somewhere in Macon GA I believe off Eisenhower Highway) I'd go back and get that entrance way. Looks pretty wicked. It was a nasty part of town though and didn't feel like getting mugged.
