Yep, Just got here a few hours ago...

After doing the obligatory shooting random crap around the house to make sure the thing is working and fucntioning fine I deicded the best test of my new lens was to take it outside in the snow with my dog...

Now I admit two failings on my part:

1. I underestimated how fast a 13 year old Catahoula can run, and my shutter speed was a tidge too low (I was using ISO100..shoulda gone to ISO400) 1/320-1/400 on average wasnt really cutting it

2. AF Point Expansion is not the right mode for this...Shoulda stuck to plain ol single point... It tracked the dog but frequently had the wrong part of the dog in focus...

Anyways, thread is worthless sans pics:

Looks like you had a blast shooting with it, and that is the real reward :) Congrats!

Indeed, i actually went out with her again just a few minutes ago, the light is getting a bit dim but even with f/4 i managed to get some good shots at ISO3200

My shutter speed was 1/200-1/320, Given the ones i posted before that were higher SS and still had motion blur I doubt the f/2.8 would have really "helped"

with kenji it's likely to be a sigma ;)! canon makes four 70-200Ls if you are counting only current models.
