Yes but 20% seems a bit low for the photographer, high for them. See why people have to load a lot of images to make on it.

Right off for walk to Puketut Island point this time with low tide ........ getty dont have any puketutu images :)

But all he did was press the button. ;)
What about all the years of training and effort from the folks at Canon and Adobe ?

Nice image Rob and congrats on the sale.

If I'm not mistaken, thats the linwood drainage canal from around the windsurfing carpark? Never seen it look so good (this was about 1km from my house just up linwood ave).

Was this pre or post quakes?

Do you hap[pen to have a link of their T's n C's and what images they accept etc? Would be keen to have a shot myself, it's not so much the money thing, just something I've had on the 'to do' list.

I've sold a few images privately via people who have stumbled upon my website, but something like this would be neat. i know Peter has had some success with stock imagery.

PS Rob, would you like to meet up for walk/shoot sometime? Working from home I seriously need an excuse to get out and about some more! Quite like your work so would be good to bounce ideas etc too if you were keen. Plus it would be good to actually put some of my gear to use :)

Most Fridays/Saturdays I can be available.

You cant submit images unless your already 'in' and then its a very slow long process. They trawl flickr for some decent stock images and invite them so keep shooting ! There is a flickr group for random submissions to be considered as a submitter but its again quite a slow process. There is also two kinds of rights manage too which is confusing, and they pick... RF (mine) are the 'cheapies'. Tho things arnt always set in stone .

Yeah love to meet up sometime (before you go!!) usually I go out to shoot last min if light looks good but othertimes organise stuff.. off to washpen falls tomorrow I think

Going back a bit.......... Weka, Auckland has absolutely great potential for landscapes, you have shown some yourself. Having travelled and lived in various places in NZ I still say, Auckland has the prettiest setting of the major NZ cities. You have a choice of rolling country, extinct volcanoes, some majic sunsets, sea shores, rocky coasts, and last winter even snow. Where you yourself live is or can be, extremely picturesque, all you have to do is exploit it. (I am a native of Mangere Bridge, was born and brought up in McIntyre Rd, no 45, The old villa is still there I believe.)
