Try flying Aus to the UK. On a good day it's 22 hours. On a bad trip it's 24+.

100%! You can fly around the world twice in 48 hours.

By the by. I think I have lost Nifty's clothes (box). There's a very high chance I accidentally threw it out when cleaning my place. :(

His hood(ie) and everything is still on my desk, just can't seem to find the rest. Sorry Austen.

That can't be right.
The quickest flight from Germany to New Zealand is 24 hours. and that is 1/2 way around the world, so in 48 hours you could only manage once around the world.

So here is a question, I am in Bermuda. Should I add my name to the US list?

Cheers!

New to the site, and just found this thread. What a great idea. I was on a motorcycle forum that had a stuffed Kangaroo that was traveling the world. Oddly enough that trip was started by an Australian too. Not wanting to read through all 340 pages prior, how does one get himself on the list? Is there more than one Nifty? It looks like there is one for North America, one for the EU and one for Auz/NZ. If that is the case then I will just copy that list and add my name to the bottom of the Canada section(unless it was banned from Canada after the first Nifty's untimely demise. :) ).

I had a cheap flight once from Munich to Frankfurt, to Copenhagen, to Singapore to Sydney to Auckland New Zealand, with a plane change in each stop. then I had to pick up a rental car in N.Z. and drive a couple of hours. I think from start to end was about 50 hours. Since that I have learn't it is better to pay a little more for as few stopovers as possible.

Welcome! Yes, there are several Nifty lenses running about. Or running amok I guess you could say. :p

As for how to get on the list, you got it. Copy the whole list (all countries/Nifties) and add your name to the bottom of your country.

To add to the long flight issues.....
I had a return flight from Rio to SF that was delayed (i.e. cancelled) and they didn't want us to leave the secured area of the airport. After all, I had already gone through customs.
Slept at the airport for 12 hours, then routed through NY instead of Miami.
Then to SF.
Pretty sure the entire ordeal was over 24 hours, but I'd like to forget most of that.

Ah yes, I may have miscalculated that.

He should be there tomorrow or Wednesday, right in time for Australia Day.

FYI

I have located a new Nifty for the Europeans and I will be sending it out on Tuesday to ROBUK.. Also, to keep Killjoy busy he will be doing an Occupy_Nifty with the original. Original Nifty has felt restless lately and misses Killjoy (don't know why ;) ) but has requested a visit. So on Tuesday I will be mailing out a new (slightly used) Nifty and the original Nifty_#2..

Happy Posting! :)
