Thanks. I didn't know if they had an issue with tripods being brought into the park.

I've never had an issue carrying in a tripod, but I usually have it in the bottom of my girls stroller, so I'm not carrying it around all day. I'm not sure you'd be able to fit a tripod in one of the lockers, unless you had one of the travel tripods like the Benro Travel Angel, which would leave you carrying it around all day.

Depending on the circumstances, a GorillaPod might be useful too. Smaller, and easier to carry (and there's no shortage of trash cans and handrails to attach to).

Good point. May need to get one of those. They sturdy enough for 5dmkii or 1diii? I have a cf gitzo, it doesn't weigh that much. ;)

I use it with a 5D mkII and a 24-70f/2.8 and it works. I wouldn't recommend it with a zoom though, regardless of what the packaging says. :)

.......? I have used the pro focus with the ballhead X successfully, but have heard nothing good about the SLR Zoom model from anyone who has used it with an SLR camera. ...............

Very true, the treehouse shot I posted up was actually taken with my gorillapod holding the camera out over the edge of the railing looking down. :D You certainly couldn't get that shot with a tripod, everyone would be tripping over the legs.

I use a gorillapod pro focus. If you look at the picture above, I have put a decent amount of weight on it with no issues, and that includes hanging it at odd angles.

You do realize that a 24-70 is a zoom right. ;) Just ribbin ya!:D
I have used mine with my 70-200/2.8IS successfully; using the tripod collar of course.
