I would buy these EXCLUSIVELY!! I have AB everything and to be honest love them, but for the money you cant beat these lights...I have 4 of these now and they are incredible, color shift is minimal, and they are every bit as good as my other strobes for far less money. They also offer lots of modifiers and good prices. I m not getting paid for this, but I just wanted to pass this on, hopefully someone starting out might give them a try. The Flashpoints are built like a TANK and recycle really quick...Just my 2 cents on lighting kit :D

Thanks for sharing these. I'll probably pick up 2 of them for use as bg lights. They should be a bit more consistent and give me a little higher f-stop than my speedlites. Not to mention easier to aim and control spill for white seamless.

Interested as well since i was looking to pick up a few budget lights to test them out. Looked at a few reviews, but still undecided. If anyone on POTN has experience and/or images using these, would love your input. :)

I recently picked up one of these as well and agree it is a great light for the price. Only thing is I would like a little brighter modeling light. Unit comes with a 100W. Any chance anyone has tried a brighter bulb (the 620 model comes with a 150W so I'm wondering if that would work or if there is a reason it would hurt the circuit) since the 100W in a softbox really gets dim.

I would be interested if someone could confirm the guide number claimed. What kind of aperture can you get at what distance with this light?

With reflector or/and without.

They have other models with higher output and still a great price, the Guide number is on the specification list page i listed...here are the higher output models

I am interested as well. I have a very cheap always on tungsten setup and I have 2 430 II with flex's. I like the pocket wizard go anywhere but for hard use I want a good studio strobe. I have been eyeing the elinchrom setups but they are pricey.

Ok newbie here. Been using a Yonguo flash with 603 wireless triggers and am looking for something a bit bigger for my mini studio. What would I need to hook my 603 up to this strobe? I assume some kind of cable but I can't find exactly what to get.

I dont have the 603, but I think they come with a Sync cable and you would use this to plug into the Strobe sync port....the Flashpoints uses the larger sized Sync male plugs

Here is a Vid with what comes with the 603s, the sync cable he shows you actually plugs into the strobe from the trigger
